Trista Diana Russo, age 39, passed away suddenly on October 25, 2022. Trista was born on August 27, 1983, in Schenectady, NY and was the daughter of Thomas P. and Lorraine M. (Wolf) Russo.
Trista grew up in Galway NY and was a graduate of Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons High School and attended both Norwich University and SUNY Albany. Trista worked locally at St. Mary’s School in Ballston Spa, Bentley’s Tavern and The Mill in Malta where she found a second family in her coworkers. Her outgoing personality and restaurant experience made her a perfect fit for her recent employment with Levy Restaurants based out of Chicago, IL. as a Director of Food and Beverage. Levy became the dream job she had always envisioned.
Trista always had a passion for sports and baseball. She was always so thankful for her many coaches, instructors and male teammates that accepted her as a member of their teams, and there were so many. That acceptance and experience from Little League through High School Varsity baseball and beyond helped propel her to a position on the 2006 USA Baseball Women’s IBAF World Cup Baseball Team. Her pitching talent helped assist Team USA to a World Cup Gold Medal in Taiwan that year.
Trista was known for her hard work ethic, as she always loved what she did. She would easily work 7 days a week with no complaints. She also found joy in reading Stephen King and attending a Yankees game. She was outgoing and social, building relationships with everyone she met. Trista especially loved all the children at the St. Mary’s Before & After School Programs in Ballston Spa. Trista found such enjoyment in planning activities for the kids. In the last few years, Trista had found a passion for cooking and baking, something she enjoyed sharing with her loving Carlie.
Trista is survived by her longtime inseparable companion and fiancé, Fred Koebbeman and his children, Matthew and Carlie; her parents Thomas and Lorraine Russo; her siblings, Brooke and Jimmy and her aunts and uncles, Debra Greene, Patrick (Linda) Russo, Sherri Russo, Carla Russo and her companion Frank, Paul (Shirley) Wolf, Tammy Wolf, Cheryl (George) Baumgardner, Wanda (Paul) Staines, Paul King, Jeff (Kathy) Caringi as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews and so many wonderful friends.
