Sandra E. (Sandy) Gardner, age 74, passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 7, 2018, at Saratoga Hospital. She was born on September 12, 1944 in Schenectady, New York and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth (Spencer) Ellis.
Sandy attended SUNY Plattsburgh, where she studied to become a registered nurse. Her career included time at Voorheesville High School, St. Clares Hospital, private duty nursing, Scotia Glenville High School and for many years as the Heath Care Coordinator at the Charlton School for Girls in Charlton, New York.
Apart from her work Sandy enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, volunteering her time at church, spending time at their camp in Speculator and most of all being with her family and friends.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Bruce S. Gardner; her beloved children Lisa (Veni) Lagon and Brian (Dawn) Gardner; and her adoring grandchildren Briana and Keely Lagon and Alex and Ryan Gardner.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday, November 11, 2018 12:00PM-2:00PM in Knight’s Hall at Burnt Hills United Methodist Church, 816 NY-50 Burnt Hills, New York 12027. Funeral service will follow at 2:00PM at church.
All are invited to attend a reception immediately following the service in Knight’s Hall.
Interment will be private in Sweetman Cemetery, Charlton.
