Obituary for Patsy T. Mottolo

Dateline – West Charlton
Patsy T. Mottolo, 85, longtime resident of West Charlton, passed peacefully on November 8, 2017 while in the care of Saratoga Center and Rehab in Ballston Spa.
He was born on June 14, 1932 in Schenectady, NY and was the son of the late Pasquale and Angelina (Tammora) Mottolo.
Patsy had a long and varied career in manufacturing working as a crane operator, assembler and painter in the Schenectady area. He also enjoyed his free time spent with his coffee buddies at McDonald’s. He was a member of the Charlton Senior Citizens Club.
Patsy and his wife of 49 years, Virginia “Ginny”, loved this part of the state never straying far from his hometown. They stayed in the area raising their family in Charlton and Burnt Hills.
Patsy is survived by his beloved wife, Ginny; adoring children Robert H. Hey and Nancy A. Alvord; loving grandchildren Jennifer A. Alvord, Rebecca L. Alvord and Jason L. Alvord.
He is predeceased by his siblings Michael Mottolo, Frank Mottolo, Americo Mottolo, Phil (Charlie) DiAmico, Mary (Ernie) Gizzi, Lucy (Art) Bartlette and Emily (John) Ciervo.
A Funeral will be private at the convenience of the family.
The family requests that those who wish to remember Patsy kindly consider donating to either Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Schenectady, NY 12302 or Community Hospice of Schenectady or Saratoga, 310 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
With confidence, the family has placed their trust in the loving care of the Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, and they encourage you to view and leave messages on Patsy’s Book of Memories at www.TownleyWheelerFH.com
