Obituary for Maureen B. "Nanny Mo" Finn

Maureen B. (Gallery) Finn, age 81, of Woodstead Road, Ballston Lake, entered eternal life on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Saratoga Hospital. She was born on November 10, 1936 in Bronx, NY, and was the daughter of the late Joseph Patrick Gallery and Johanna Lanigan Gallery. Maureen was a graduate of Our Lady of Angels Grammar School. She attended Cathedral High School and graduated from St. Vincent Ferrer, Manhattan, class of ‘55. Maureen lived in Ballston Lake since1983 and earlier resided in Teaneck, NJ and Webb Ave., Bronx. She had a successful career as a real estate professional with Realty USA in Clifton Park. She was a feisty gal who enjoyed music and dancing. She had an enormous heart and love for all humanity. Maureen was one in a million who lit up a room when she entered. She was so proud of her Irish heritage and had the great fortune to visit her homeland and relish in the history in 2008. She loved camping with her family throughout the US and Canada for many years. She longed for visits the Irish Village in Cape Cod where she could be in her splendor with her family and friends. Maureen was a long time and much loved, active parishioner at Corpus Christi Church community.
She was the beloved wife of John J. Finn, loving mother of Kelly Ann (Ray) Milne, Christopher (Sandra) Finn and Kevin Finn; devoted grandmother of Justin (Fiance, Kari Sweisford), Daniel, Shawn, and Christopher Finn, Richard (Kelly) Behr, and Stephanie (Roger) Ruefenacht; and great grandmother of Mia Behr, Mason Behr and Daniel Finn, Jr.
Maureen is predeceased by her beloved son, the late John Finn, Jr, her brothers, the late James Gallery and Kevin Gallery, sister-in-law Elizabeth Gallery
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Corpus Christi Church, Route 9 in Round Lake, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 9:00 am at the Church.
Maureen will rest with her son at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY on Wednesday at 11:00 AM.
