Obituary for Marlene Paul (Schultz)

Marlene Irene Schultz Paul, age 85, of Ballston Lake NY died on Thursday, September 20, 2018 surrounded by loving family. She was born July 16, 1933 in New Britain CT and was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Schultz. She was raised in Connecticut and graduated from Hartford Hospital Nursing School. As a school nurse, mental health therapist and marriage counselor, Marlene brought a practical and loving attitude to all she helped. After retirement, Marlene had an extensive art career from painting to sewing and jewelry making. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and spending time with family.

She was the wife of the late Frank Albert Paul, Jr. whom she married on October 29, 1955; mother of Karen Frances Paul Sipe (Roderick) and Keith Albert Paul (Karen). Grandmother of Benjamin Matthew Sipe (Brittany), Evan Elizabeth Sipe Rahman (Tauseef), Thaddeus Augustus Sipe and Maud Katherine Sipe. Great-grandmother of Elliott Nathanael Sipe and Oliver Grayson Paul Sipe.
Marlene was an avid painter, enjoyed reading and always celebrated an adventure out. She had a spirit for excitement and encouraged others to enjoy the good parts of life.

Calling hours and funeral arrangements will be held privately in accordance with the family's wishes. Internment will be at the Jonesville Cemetery. Contributions in Marlene's name may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, Springfield MA.
