Lawrence John Mothon, age 58, died on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by his family. Lawrence was born on March 21, 1961 in Flushing, NY and was the son of Charles and Alice Mothon.

Larry attended Kent Preparatory School in Connecticut and later attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona, Florida earning his degree in Aeronautical Science. Larry was a man of many talents, who could fix and accomplish anything he put his mind to. He worked for the Iron Workers Local 12 and was an extremely skilled welder. Larry held both a commercial and private pilot license and enjoyed spending time in the air, especially flying his beloved biplane.

In his youth, Larry was an adept horseback rider, and worked on the family farm. He relished in the adventure of traveling abroad with his father and loved going on family vacations. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time on his land. He especially cherished time fishing with his daughter, Lauren. Larry had a special place in his heart for each of his pets.

Along with his parents, Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Anne Mothon; his children, Terry (Laura) Mothon, Eric Mothon, and Lauren Mothon, whom he loved dearly and his sister, Linda (David) Mansfield. Lawrence is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Larry is predeceased by his brother, Steven Mothon.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday January 5, 2020 from 1:00-3:00pm at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road Ballston Lake, NY.

A Memorial Service, led by Fr. Francis Vivacqua, will conclude the afternoon at 3:00pm.

Interment will be held privately at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made in Larry’s honor to the charity of one’s choice.
