Geraldine M. “Geri” Tracey, age 87, of St. Stephens Lane East, died peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2017 in her home with her loving family by her side and her favorite song in the air. She was born on March 3, 1930 in Auburn, NY and was the daughter of the late Owen Walter and Clara (Weidman) Comstock. Geri was a graduate of Auburn High School and later attended college in Michigan.
Geri was a real estate agent for many years and retired from Welbourne Purdy Realty, Inc. in Burnt Hills, NY. She was a witty bridge player and loved to hit ‘em hard on the golf course. She enjoyed her winter travels down to Myrtle Beach, SC where she spent numerous chill free winters with her family and friends. She was a gardener who loved to tend to her veggies and flowers and a member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Burnt Hills. Geri was known for her “sassy” attitude and kind heart.
She was the beloved wife of the late James J. Tracey; loving mother of Scott (Paula Young) Tracey and Keri (Darren) Tracey-Wentz; devoted grandmother of Hannah and Sara Tracey and Carly Goodcuff and Haley Wentz; doting great-grandmother of Cassandra Grace Theophel; caring sister of Patricia Skidmore and the late Dorothy Sheperd. Geri is also survived by a niece a nephew and her sweet dog, Brandie.
A Requiem Mass will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Episcopal Church, 85 Lake Hill Road, Burnt Hills, NY. A reception will follow at the church hall.
In private, Geri will join her husband at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Building Fund at Calvary Episcopal Church or the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204.
With confidence, the family has placed their trust in the loving care of the Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, and they encourage you to view and leave messages on Geri’s Book of Memories at www.TownleyWheelerFH.com
